Smitdfield`s Chicken `N Bar-B-Q in Goldsboro

This Smithfields chicken and barbeque is the bomb diggity. Food was superb. Very pleased with my experience here today. Very clean tables seats floors etc. Quite a pleasant lunch today.

They have good food and service. Love their potato salad absolutely the best.

This may be the friendliest Smithfield's in the state. And I've visited most of them. Wonderful employees and great food. Totally worth getting off the US 70 bypass. You won't regret stopping here.

This local chain is good in a pinch. It is not the best BBQ I have ever had, and I honestly prefer the chicken strips to anything else on the menu, but in the realm of drive-thru, casual dining it is one of the better locations around. Clean dining area with clean restrooms. Staff has always been courteous with my family and I, and we have always had hot, fresh food.

Took my grandchildren and had a wonderful time. The food was delicious and the service was awesome. They were very attentive to us making sure things were good. Couldn't have asked for it to be any better.

Always good no matter what I get. Word of warning. If you are going on Sunday, get there before lunch. Restaurant fills up quickly.

Would have given 5 stars if initial service was better. A family of 5 adults had just stepped up to one of 2 registers. The lady at the other register gave the food to her customers, then walked away, leaving my husband and I as the only people needing to order food. After a few minutes a man from the back as her if she was on break, she said yes. 2 or 3 minutes later he came to the register and took our order. Something that would have taken the 1st lady 3 minutes to do.....she could have at least spoke to us and asked someone else to help us instead of leaving is standing with no acknowledgement that we were even there. SMH. At least the food was good except the soggy hush puppies. Why do they put your hush puppies on top of your wet BBQ? Really?

This five-star rating is based on my first visit to a Smithfield's Chicken & BBQ (drive-thru). I was greeted by Rachel, who was very patient, allowed me time to make my selection, and answered all my questions, as a first timer. I ordered a gallon of sweet tea and she read my mind, asking me if I would like a cup of ice so I can enjoy some tea on the way home. It was the perfect addition to my order. The ladies at the window were also very pleasant and the food did not disappoint at all! The barbecue did not have a lot of fat and gristle, the fried chicken was flavorful, crispy, and absolutely delicious! The coleslaw and potato salad were very tasty, as well as the hushpuppies. From what I experienced yesterday, this restaurant gets a five-star for: efficiency through the drive-thru, great customer service and attitudes, and delicious, quality food! The price was great as well. I will definitely be coming back!

Excellent, if I could give it ten stars I would. The food is fresh, hot and delicious.The service was exceptional, and courteous. And last but not least it was spotless in the dinning room and restroom.Five stars all the way!

The shrimp were great, the bar b questions needs to be chopped more. We love their sauce and always buy extra to take home. They have two kinds.

Staff went out of way to serve us. BBQ sandwiches were hot and sweet tea like way I like it.

The food as always very good but if you get carry out you better check your trays before you leave. We didn't and then got stopped by the train so we were going to have a hushpuppy while we waited, we then checked our plates to realize it was all wrong so had to go back. They did make it right gave us extra slaw and a gallon of tea for our troubles. Management was very friendly and understanding for our troubles but worker's need to pay more attention to carry outs lots of gas and trouble to go back.

Enjoyed the food and the overall experience. Reminded me a lot of Chik'FilA because of the cleanliness of the restaurant, the personable staff and service. A bit nicer in the decor though. Decent Carolina style BBQ, excellent Brunswick stew and loved the hush puppies. "Upscale Fast Food" if you will.

Have eaten here several times and quickly noticed if you order tea with a meal, they come to your table for a refill! WATER not at all! they would even go to the table next to mine to refill them for tea not ever had they asked, can I refill your water!! Several times has this happened in my experience. Sad rule they have, as much as the food cost!!! Wendy's next time...

Great chain BBQ resturant. Fast friendly service, great food at good prices. If you go make sure to get some of the rib sauce for the bbq. It really sets it off!

Seriously?! This is a famous chicken place? Went there to grab a bite...I should have gone to Wendy's, but that place was packed. Gee, I wonder why?! The food was cold, the chicken wasn't anything to write home about. It needed seasoning. No salt or any flavor. I would not go back to this particular one but I might go to another to give our one more try.

Poor management they had several cars pulled ahead waiting on food and the fries were hard and nasty

You can never go wrong with SCNBQ!! Every one I've ever been to had the most courteous staff, very short wait times & they were always cleaning tables & the area with pure efficiency. The staff are very friendly & the food is always fresh! My parents used to go to one all the time now me & my husband go. We will definitely keep going back plus it helps that we have one so close to where we live! 😁❤

The barbeque was not chopped properly on my sandwich. Had to break up the pieces before eating it. No spices or seasoning at all. Very bland meat. As many times as I've eaten there, I was shocked to get such poor quality barbecue. This was a disappointing first for me.

Had a bbq plate and my husband had the shrimp both were very good. Service was quick and polite

The people here are so pleasant and smile. The bbq is tender but I think on the small side. I take it home and I always add Scott's bbq sauce to it but that's my preference. The potato salad had good flavor but was chopped a little much and bit soupy as was the slaw. I liked the hush puppies because they didn't have onions in them. I will eat here again. Fast service.

Delicious ! ! Got a bar b que, fried chicken, white meat c o mbo. I ate it in one sitting. Already been back !
